Applications under Regulation (EC) 1829/2003 on Genetically Modified Food and Feed [GM Food Feed applications]

Since 18 April 2004, Genetically Modified Food and Feed applications are regulated in the European Community under Regulation (EC) 1829/2003 It provides for a single Community procedure for the authorisation. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) is responsible for the scientific assessment of genetically modified food and feed. In the following table, information related to the applications submitted to EFSA under Regulation (EC) 1829/2003 on genetically modified food and feed is given. This table is updated regularly.

Note: *Application EFSA-GMO-DE-2004-03 is regarded as a new application. Due to the extension of the scope to food and feed aspects a transformation of the application under Regulation (EC) No 258/97 is formally not possible.
