Dow AgroSciences Danmark A/S, a subsidiary of
Dow AgroSciences LLC,
and ABED FONDEN (ABED Foundation or ABED) announced today
that an agreement has been reached between the two
organizations.
As a result of the
agreement, seven ABED employees will be transferred to Dow
AgroSciences Danmark A/S to support the research and
development of Dow AgroSciences' Nexera* canola seed and
Natreon* canola oil business. Financial terms of the
agreement were not disclosed.

Dow AgroSciences to accelerate the development of Nexera*
canola seed products specifically adapted to the European
environment," said Steve Thompson, global R&D leader for
Seeds and Traits R&D for Dow AgroSciences. "ABED has an
excellent plant breeding history and experience base in
Europe. We are pleased that a part of their talented
organization will now become an integral and long term part
of our healthy oils business."

years worked to secure the Foundation's plant breeding

opportunities for those ABED employees who will be joining
Dow AgroSciences. It will also assist in securing profitable
development of our cereal breeding operation."
Dow AgroSciences will
continue to maintain a relationship with the ABED Foundation
through the leasing of facilities that will be used for the
breeding of Nexera* canola seed. ABED will continue its
small grains breeding program which will focus on the Danish
market.
