Louis Sutton joins Stauffer Seeds as regional sales manager for eastern Kansas and Missouri
Savannah, Missouri
July 11, 2005

“I appreciate the energy and dynamics of Stauffer Seeds and the process of re-launching a brand into the marketplace,” commented Louis Sutton (photo), regional sales manager for Stauffer Seeds. “We’re starting from scratch and doing things the way farmers need, providing the service they deserve.”

Craig Williams, Director of Midwest Operations for Stauffer Seeds, said Sutton embodies the company’s philosophy of individual attention and service. “We are proud to have Louis on our staff serving customers with his progressive and positive attitude. A true seedsman, Louis will always make sure his customers receive the best products positioned appropriately for their farm,” Williams remarked.

Sutton joins Stauffer Seeds serving a territory that includes eastern Kansas and all of Missouri. He is a 15-year veteran of the seed industry having worked as a district sales manager for a competitor prior to joining Stauffer. “I enjoy working with people. I like to help solve problems for individual circumstances in the field,” Sutton explained. “Placing the right hybrid in the field means getting the best value for the farmer. They are looking for the best value for their dollar as costs keep rising. Stauffer Seeds can help them achieve this goal.”

A Certified Crop Advisor, Sutton appreciates the research behind Stauffer Seeds products. “Our corn research program is excellent, providing the best hybrids to farmers,” he stated. “And the same can be said for our soybeans. We are producing quality seed to provide the best performance and value for the farmer. Stauffer Seeds is doing seed business the way it used to be with a farmer-oriented mentality, not a corporate mentality. Stauffer Seeds is excelling at bringing seed to farmers rather than working for a corporate entity.”

Sutton earned a bachelor’s degree in business management with an ag emphasis from Kansas State University. He grew up on a farm and continues to enjoy outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, and coaching youth sports teams. He and his wife, Cathy, are the parents of Rebecca, 14, and Decker, 10.

Stauffer Seeds’ headquarters is located in Carroll, Iowa.
