NK Brand Seeds offers Syngenta seed treatment bonus program
Golden Valley, Minnesota
February 9, 2005

NK® Brand Seeds provides growers unmatched early season insect and disease protection for high-value corn and soybean seed, while saving an average of $3.25* per soybean acre with the Bean Counter Bonus Program™ from Syngenta.  Customers can receive a per-unit rebate on the purchase of NK Brand soybean varieties treated with Cruiser®Maxx® Pak if they have purchased NK Brand corn hybrids treated with Cruiser Extreme™ Pak.

The Bean Counter Bonus Program offers two options for NK Brand Seeds growers:

One unit of Cruiser Extreme Pak CRW-treated corn seed (80k) qualifies growers to receive a $4.00 rebate on one matching unit (defined as 50 lbs.) of CruiserMaxx Pak-treated soybean seed.

One unit of Cruiser Extreme Pak-treated corn seed (80k) qualifies growers to receive a $2.50 rebate on one matching unit (defined as 50 lbs.) of CruiserMaxx Pak-treated soybean seed.

This rebate applies to purchases of at least 40 units each of treated corn hybrids and soybean varieties purchased between Sept. 1, 2004, and June 15, 2005.

“NK Brand corn hybrids and soybean varieties deliver proven, high-yielding genetics, and Cruiser brand seed treatments provide convenient, effective protection from the start,” said Doug Knight, head of NK Brand marketing.  “Field trials have shown that both CruiserMaxx Pak and Cruiser Extreme Pak protect yields.  The Bean Counter Bonus Program rewards growers who choose to protect their seed with superior early season protection.”

Backed by more than 35 years of proprietary breeding, NK Brand soybeans consistently deliver top yields - an average of 1.8 bushels per acre more than top competitors.  To protect this valuable seed from early season pest pressure, CruiserMaxx Pak is a commercially applied promotional combination of two separately registered products, Cruiser seed treatment insecticide and ApronMaxx® brand seed treatment fungicide.  It guards against insects, such as bean leaf beetle and soybean aphid, and all major seed- and soil-borne diseases, including Pythium, Phytopthora and Rhizoctonia.

NK Brand corn hybrids offer more options for high-yielding genetics combined with convenient pest control packages.   One key option, Cruiser Extreme Pak, is a seed company-applied promotional combination of four separately registered products for use on corn seed: Cruiser seed treatment insecticide and Maxim® XL, Apron XL® and Dynasty® seed treatment fungicides.  The combination of NK Brand YieldGard® hybrids plus Cruiser Extreme Pak CRW seed treatment provides excellent protection from up to 15 pests, including corn rootworm, European corn borer, wireworm, white grub, seedcorn maggot and other secondary pests, as well as seed- and soil-borne diseases.

“The Bean Counter Bonus Program is a prime example of profitable options from NK Brand that support the way growers farm,” Knight said.
