“Our goal is to keep giving American farmers better choices in seed with great germ plasm and the trait options that will turn out high performance results for their region. That’s why we feel especially good about this 2006 line-up,” according to Jim Sommers, joint operating head at Golden Harvest headquarters in Pekin, Ill. “We have a hefty offering of new products that have been tested and selected for their incredible potential. And those are on top of the old favorites and consistent producers we’re bringing back based on their profit potential for our customers.”

Growers can also count on the continued support of the Agronomy Up Front® program, one of the industry’s oldest and most respected sources of agronomic data. Agronomy Up Front keeps  expanding its ability to assist growers with the most appropriate seed selection and agronomic advice, according to Wayne Fithian, Golden Harvest agronomy systems manager.

“Along with trained product development agronomists who are familiar with specific regions, our research agronomists continue to experiment with crop inputs and cropping techniques, such as genotype interaction, technology validation, product characterization and use recommendations. Our focus is to keep responding with our unique regionalized approach to products, programs and service to help farmers make a profit,” Fithian said.
