Experimental Use Permit; Receipt of Application

AGENCY: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: This notice announces receipt of an application 264-EUP-RUN from Bayer CropScience LP requesting an experimental use permit (EUP) for the plant incorporated-protectant Bacillus thuringiensis subsp.
berliner Cry1Ab insecticidal protein and the genetic material necessary for its production in cotton plants. The Agency has determined that the application may be of regional and national significance. Therefore, in accordance with 40 CFR 172.11(a), the Agency is soliciting comments on this application.

DATES: Comments, identified by docket identification (ID) number OPP-2005-0197, must be received on or before September 9, 2005.
