A decision
earlier this year to change the date of Agromek has been
reversed, according to the organizers.
Agromek 2006 will be held
January 17th – 21st and Agromek 2007 will
be held Janurary 16th – 20th. More
information on northern Europe's premier farm show for new
technology in agriculture may be found on their
website.
The
Chairman of the Agromek Exhibition Committee, Managing Director
Hans Sørensen says, “The Agromek Exhibition Committee has now
unanimously decided to annul the earlier decision concerning
changing the date of Agromek. This decision has been taken on
the basis of a meeting of exhibitors, questionnaires and other
information. This means that Agromek will continue to held every
year in Week 3 or 4 in the month of January.”
Mark your calendars now.
This new decision means that Agromek 2006 will be held during
the period 17th – 21st January 2006 and
that Agromek 2007 will be held during the period 16th
– 20th January 2007.
Hans
Sørensen said the original decision, now reversed, to move
Agromek from January to December was made earlier this year due
to a false impression that several machine and implement
exhibitors would pull out if Agromek was not changed to late
Autumn. At the same time, the Committee had gained the
impression that other exhibitors would support such a change.
Hans Sørensen has emphasized that, unfortunately, it was soon
clear that many exhibitors were upset with the decision to move
Agromek to December. He explained that a meeting with
exhibitors, which was followed up by a questionnaire, clearly
showed that the majority desired that Agromek remain in January.
Sørensen says, “The Exhibition Committee has therefore decided
that Agromek will continue to be held every year in January. We
have now sent out this information to all Agromek exhibitors.”
The
Chairman has also stated that the Committee has maintained its
decision that it will be possible for the individual exhibitor
to exhibit at Agromek every other year if so required.
Agromek is arranged by the Danish Manufacturers of Agricultural
Machinery and the Danish Farming associations. |
