Golden Harvest Seeds introduces "H" soybean varieties for 2006 planting under Gutwein™ brand
Waterloo, Nebraska
April 18, 2005

Golden Harvest Seeds, Inc. has announced a soybean distribution agreement that will allow their customers a wide choice of genetics and Roundup Ready® technology coupled with Golden Harvest’s familiar “H” numbering system for planting in 2006.

Golden Harvest dealers and sales representatives will be the exclusive source of Gutwein brand soybeans for 2006 planting. The varieties will bear Golden Harvest “H” numbers for easy reference to the Golden Harvest soybeans farmers have been planting.

“Gutwein replaces the Fastart™ brand we originally intended to use as it will allow us to deliver soybean varieties using the familiar H-numbering system our dealers and customers are used to,” Head of Product Management, Dennis Bracht, explained. “By using the Gutwein brand, we can assure customers they’re getting the genetics and quality they expect from us.”

“This is a great addition to our 2006 strategy, to allow customers to access genetics and technologies they are familiar with through their Golden Harvest dealers and sales representatives,” Jim Sommer, Golden Harvest Joint Operating Head, added. “It allows us to go forward with a complete line-up of products.”

The Gutwein brand joins the Golden Harvest and NK® brands in Golden Harvest dealer and sales representative soybean offerings for 2006 planting.
