Toowoomba, Queensland
September 3, 2004

Pacific Seeds has purchased the latest three releases from Enterprise Grains Australia the joint venture between the Queensland and New South Wales Departments of Primary Industries, the Western Australian Department of Agriculture and the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) has licensed its latest three wheat releases to Pacific Seeds.

The varieties are the Australian Prime Hard line QT10776, the AH lines QT10198 and QT10580.

Pacific Seeds business manager, Dr Brian Hare, said the company aimed to have commercial quantities of seed of the varieties available in 2006, with a series of regional field trials in the lead up.

The new varieties would be bulked up, promoted and distributed through a network of agents around Australia, including areas where Pacific Seeds has an existing presence.

The Queensland Department of Primary Industries & Forestry bred the new varieties at the Leslie Research Centre in Toowoomba.
