King’s Lynn, Norfolk,
United Kingdom
November 24, 2004
With effect from 1st November 2004, Mark Wilson has
been appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of
the
Germain's Technology Group’s
worldwide activities.
On his appointment, Mr Wilson declared: “ It is a great honour
for me to be given the unique opportunity to lead a company with
such a long history of successful innovations. In fact, the
company is fast approaching its 60th anniversary of
the pioneering introduction of pelleted seed into North America
and it is my firm intention to make sure it has a successful
future”.
A
member of the ABF Group, a world leader in food and food
ingredients, Germain’s has achieved considerable growth, both
organic and through successful acquisitions, partnerships and
alliances. Today, Germain’s is the most accomplished independent
provider of seed enhancement technology solutions, delivering
value to customers on a global scale”.
Mr. Wilson went on to say: “In keeping with its long-standing
record of new product development, Germain’s is committed to
sustained growth, underpinned by the ongoing investment into
robust research programmes. We are indeed looking towards
exciting developments, in many areas of seed enhancement
technologies, such as, IPR protection and disease eradication.
Our mission remains as it has always been to deliver innovative,
value added and judicious solutions to the seed and crop
protection industry”.
He then stated, in closing: “I would like to pay a special
tribute to Paul Ayres, the outgoing Managing Director and Chief
Executive Officer who is retiring from the position. Paul
started his career at Germain’s in the mid-80’s and in his role
as MD and CEO, was the architect of the company’s sustained
growth during this period. His drive, determination and
professionalism made the business what it is today, a fine
legacy for continued growth supported by an outstanding team of
professional and dedicated employees”.
Mark Wilson joined Germain’s in May 2003 as Commercial Director,
leading the business development and global sales teams. He
previously held a number of senior management positions in
manufacturing, supply chain management, primarily in the food
and pharmaceutical industries.
Germain’s Technology Group, a member of
Associated British Foods plc, provides seed enhancement and
coating services and technology products from nine world
