Cal/West Seeds announces that Alvaro Cordero has joined Cal/West Seeds in the position of International Marketing Specialist.  He will be taking over responsibility for the company’s sales and marketing activities in Mexico, Central America, South America, Southern Africa, Australia and New Zealand. 

Mr. Cordero has a BS degree in Agronomy/Ag Science and an MBA.  He is fluent in English and Spanish and comes to us with ten years of experience in agribusiness.  His work experience includes Agronomy supervisor for Chiquita brands 11,000-hectare oil palm plantation in Costa Rica, Investment coordinator for CINDE-US AID to Costa Rica and manager of a Costa Rican rice importation company.  For the past six years he has been a grain trader with Louis Dreyfus Group in Wilton, Connecticut.
