As part of its support for the broccoli industry, Sakata makes donation to fight breast cancer

Demonstrating its support for the broccoli industry and consumers at large, Sakata made a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, whose mission is to save lives by increasing awareness of breast cancer through education and by providing mammograms for those in need. 

Sakata is actively involved in supporting the broccoli industry and consumers in as many ways as possible, particularly through educating its customers and industry associates on the health benefits of Broccoli.  Broccoli is a healthful vegetable, a good source of vitamin A, nutrients, and antioxidants that help fight cancer.  Broccoli’s proven cancer fighting properties, nutrition and health benefits add value when consumed as part of a healthy diet.  Sakata’s goal is to help provide the tools to build or maintain a healthy diet by reducing the risk of cancer.  As a result of this commitment, a portion of the money spent purchasing Broccoli seed goes back into supporting the Broccoli industry and the community through donations to the National Breast Cancer Foundation!
