Premier AgVentures launches seed business in Northwest Iowa, Southeast South Dakota

Kentland, Indiana
December 17, 2004

Premier AgVentures, Inc. of Hawarden, Iowa has signed an exclusive territory agreement with AgVenture, Inc. of Kentland, Indiana.  Premier AgVentures President, Jim Lynott says their seed company will market AgVenture brand corn, soybeans and alfalfa in northwest Iowa and southeast South Dakota.

With more than 35 years agribusiness experience, Jim Lynott said he was drawn to AgVenture for several reasons.  “In agribusiness, the real value is in connecting with customers. Through the last decade, as seed companies have gone to more corporate structures, every field has been overtaken with corporate philosophies.  The reality is that producers still require the competence of working with people directly tied to the responsibilities that come with entrepreneurial ownership and management. As an independent seed company, AgVenture allows us to offer that level of service and responsibility to our customers, together with great performing seed.”

Lynott knows agriculture in this new territory, having been involved over the years with feed mills, and leaders in the swine breeding stock industry.

Premier AgVentures Sales Manager, Chad Lynott said, “We are very pleased to offer our customers AgVenture’s leading-edge seed and access to the best technologies on the market.  Additionally, each of the seed products we offer will be locally adapted and tested to help our customers be competitive, while realizing better overall satisfaction.  We’ll center our business on providing customers exceptional products and service.”

AgVenture, Inc. Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Jim Groepper, is a native of the northwest Iowa territory Lynott’s will serve. “I am very pleased to offer AgVenture products and Lynott’s experience to my home turf.  AgVenture is a great company, with an outstanding line-up of performing genetics. I’m proud to have Premier AgVentures serve the producers in my home area.”

Both Jim and Chad Lynott are natives of the Hawarden area.  Jim is a Morningside College graduate. He and his wife have three children and seven grandchildren.  Chad holds a degree from South Dakota State University. He and his wife have two children.

AgVenture, Inc. is the nation’s largest network of independently owned seed companies. Based in Kentland, Indiana, AgVenture provides a growing network of independently owned and managed seed companies with seed products meeting exacting standards for quality, together with leading-edge genetics and technology.  Since 1983, this unique marketing approach has allowed each individual company to match the hybrids it sells to the specific needs of the geographical area it serves. Combined with professional seed representation at a local level, AgVenture strives to help every grower realize more profit from every field.
