Proposed rule to exempt organic producers from assessment by
research and promotion programs
AGENCY: Agricultural Marketing Service, USDA.
ACTION: Proposed rule.
SUMMARY: This proposed rule would exempt any person producing
and marketing solely 100 percent organic products from paying
assessments to any research and promotion program administered
by the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS). A proposed rule to
exempt any person producing and marketing solely 100 percent
organic products from paying assessments to certain marketing
order programs administered by AMS was published previously in
the Federal Register.
