November 5, 2003

Today’s ever-changing agriculture industry faces new challenges on a daily basis.  Ready to face those challenges with Thorp Seed Co., a Golden Harvest member company, is Harold Lovin as Sales Manager.

Lovin comes to Thorp Seed Co. as Sales Manager with more than twenty years of experience in the seed industry.  “His considerable expertise and knowledge will be a tremendous asset to the company,” stated Nelson Thorp, President of Thorp Seed Co.  “He possesses a positive attitude in everything he does.  He is a true team player.”

As Sales Manager, Lovin will directly manage a team of District Sales Managers as well as Customer Service and Communication efforts of the company.  Harold will represent Thorp Seed Co. at the national level as one of the company’s representatives on the National Golden Harvest Marketing Committee.

According to Thorp, Thorp Seed Co. has a strong sales team; it is evident in the consistent sales increases the company has seen over the past seven years.  “I am confident that Harold’s ability to lead will take them to the next level and continue our success.”

For his part, Lovin says his commitment to our dealers, customers, and fellow employees of Thorp Seed Co. is to continue the success of the past and lead it into the future.  “We will all need to work together as a team utilizing the resources of people, product, technology and programs to launch us to the next level of success.”

The Golden Harvest brand of hybrid corn, soybeans, sorghum and alfalfa is produced and marketed by five family-owned and managed seed companies serving farmers throughout the U.S. Corn Belt, Europe, South America and Canada. These five companies share research and marketing resources nationally, while continuing to offer the nearby service that is the heart of the seed industry
