Fontanelle Hybrids' travel and training meeting focuses on future

What will farmers and farming look like in three to five years? What does Fontanelle Hybrids need to put in place to help our current and future customers to be successful in the years to come? Discussions on these questions, and training conducted to help prepare Fontanelle’s Stalkholder dealers for the future, took place during the annual Travel and Training (TNT) meeting held in Omaha on February 14th and 15th.

The TNT meeting, attended by 175 Fontanelle representatives, concentrated the training on new communications methods, new products and new technologies. "It’s important to both the Company and the Stalkholder dealers that we remain committed to continual training," Steve Pike, sales manager said. "This annual meeting is one of several times throughout the year that we provide training for the Stalkholders. Plus the TNT meeting allows the Stalkholders time to socialize with their fellow dealers to exchange ideas and information."

A new feature at the TNT was a Stalkholder Council discussion, which involved 17 dealers selected to share their views with Fontanelle management. "Our Stalkholder dealers are our top dealers," Pike said. "We rely on them as one avenue for us at Fontanelle Hybrids to understand the trends in agriculture. This helps us determine what we need to put in place to ensure that we are doing the best job possible for our customers and dealers now and into the future."

The make up of the Stalkholder Council will change each year as some members will rotate off so other Stalkholders can participate. Over time this will allow all Stalkholders to be Council members.
