New General Manager, Market Development appointed at The New Zealand Institute of Crop and Food Research

The New Zealand Institute of Crop and Food Research has appointed Peter Barrowclough as its new General Manager, Market Development.

Currently with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, Mr Barrowclough has been instrumental in promoting entrepreneurship and establishing a national Business Incubation Infrastructure in New Zealand, as part of the Government's Growth and Innovation Framework.

Prior to this, he was Crop & Food Research's CropSeed Manager, with overall responsibility for licensing new cultivars and technology from plant breeding programmes, and managing out of season plant nursery multiplications for northern hemisphere clients.

On his return to Crop & Food Research, Mr Barrowclough will manage the company's business team including activities in Australia, consultancy, first level contracts, key accounts activities, and public
relations and branding.

He will also work closely with the General Manager Investments in selecting intellectual property for commercialisation.
