Agricore United today announced that its stock listing name on the Toronto Stock Exchange ("TSX") will change from "United Grain Growers Limited" to its operating name "Agricore United" effective January 14, 2003. The change in the stock listing name corresponds with the stock trading symbol
"AU" adopted by the company effective October 7, 2002. The changes to the stock listing name and the stock trading symbol reflect the company's new business name, arising from the combination of business operations of United Grain Growers Limited and Agricore Cooperative Ltd. to create Agricore United.

Agricore United currently lists three securities on the TSX under the following symbols:

- AU - limited voting common shares
- AU.PR.A - Series "A" convertible preferred shares, non-voting
- AU.DB - 9% convertible unsecured subordinated debentures
