Ft. Wayne, Indiana

CropVerifeye, LLC, the industry leader in digital traceability systems for the agriculture and food processing industries, has announced promotions within its management team which became effective after the first of the year.

Dr. James Mock has been promoted to President from Vice President of Sales & Marketing . Dr. Mock has an extensive background in seed research, education, and business management. He received his PhD from Iowa State University in 1970 and was on the Graduate Faculty in Agronomy at ISU from 1970 to 1978. He held several management positions with Northrup King from 1978 to 1992 and was employed by Monsanto as Vice President and General Manager of HybriTech U.S. (Monsanto's hybrid wheat seed division) from 1993 to 1999. Dr. Mock is one of the original founders of CropVerifeye and has served as Vice President from its inception. As President, he will be responsible for establishing the strategic direction for the company and providing day-to-day support for the operating/ implementation teams. He will also function as the principle channel for disseminating company information and will serve as the primary corporate spokesperson.

Along with this change, Nancy Timmer, Vice President of Administration, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Timmer is also one of the founding partners of the company, and brings an extensive seed industry background to the team. After managing a customer service department of a major seed company for several years, in 1993, Nancy co-founded Routemaster, Inc., an ISO9002 certified company. She has over 27 years experience in the seed industry, specializing in customer service, technology, and administrative management. Responsibilities in her new role include establishment of strategic direction and management of financial and administrative resources in support of the implementation teams. She will also serve as the backup communications and public relations contact.

Russ Wilkin, CEO of CropVerifeye, says, "These changes were made in response to an ever-growing global food safety and traceability marketplace. CropVerifeye is positioning itself to satisfy its customers' demands and expectations in the most efficient and effective manner possible."

Due to increased consumer awareness of food safety issues and the global movement toward greater transparency of the origination of food ingredients, CropVerifeye continues to lead in validation of stewardship practices used by several major food manufacturers, processors, and their contracted producers. As the agri-food industry continues to require additional information about the farming and stewardship practices regarding issues such as GMO and non-GMO crops, country of origin labeling, etc., CropVerifeye maintains its leadership position in information capture, traceability tools, and verification practices that are customized to each client's compliance requirements. International concern about these practices, at both the producer and processor levels, has elevated the topic to the forefront of many commercial and government agendas. Since there is no standard platform or set of regulations that governs the method to which supply chain participants must adhere, CropVerifeye's customizable, web-based platforms allow clients to insert their own compliance parameters. Subsequently, their customers can view specific data protocols from anywhere on the globe.
