Poncho^TM, a new seed-applied insecticide, has received full registration by the Environmental Protection Agency. Golden Harvest Agronomy Up Front Research has been studying Poncho efficacy as a seed-applied insecticide since crop year 2000 and will market the product at two rates: Poncho 250 and Poncho 1250.

Poncho 250 is the application rate/product name for Poncho used to control seed and seedling attacking insects. JC Robinson Seeds Agronomy Systems Manager, Wayne Fithian, says Poncho 250 has better activity on many key insect pests, a longer window of activity compared to other available products, and is labeled for control of black cutworm. Our data indicates that Poncho 250 provides producers the additional benefits of increased stand, reduced weak plants and improved yield.

Poncho 1250 is the application rate/product name for Poncho used for control of seed/seedling insect pests, black cutworm, and corn rootworm. Poncho 1250 provides producers with a simple and effective method to manage their YieldGard^® Rootworm refuge acres.
