Co., L.L.C., Cordova, IL; Sommer Bros. Seed Co., Pekin, IL; and
Thorp Seed Co. Clinton, IL; announce the release of the 2003
Agronomy Up Front®
Research Summary.
Golden Harvest producers view the annual research
book as an invaluable resource. The Agronomy Up Frontâ
research program is a unique and comprehensive program developed
to give farmers pertinent information about how Golden Harvest
seed products respond to crop production practices. Each
product is put to the test in “real life” situations and typical
farming practices are applied to see how corn hybrids and
soybean varieties react to certain situations. Effects are
measured beyond visual reactions, all the way to yield, so
customers can see real world results.
The publication is produced annually and is a
compilation of the more than 70,000 plots testing Golden Harvest
brand corn hybrids and soybean varieties. Four versions of the
book are available in order to accommodate the different regions
throughout the Corn Belt. Each version is developed for and
serviced by the Golden Harvest member company marketing in each
area. Garwood Seed Co. servicing southern Illinois; The Golden
Seed Co, LLC for eastern Iowa, northern Illinois and Wisconsin;
Sommer Bros. Seed Co. for eastern Missouri, north central
Illinois, northern Indiana and Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New
York, and northeast states; and, Thorp Seed Co. for South
Central Illinois, Central & Southern Indiana, Central & Southern
Ohio and Kentucky.
This year’s Agronomy Up Front book is available
in spiral bound printed formats, on CD-ROM or online at
www.goldenharvestseeds.com. Producers can obtain a copy of the
book by contacting their local Golden Harvest dealer, District
Sales Manager, Technical Service Agronomist, or by calling
1-800-610-7333 for the member company servicing your area.
Golden Harvest is the nation’s largest
independently owned seed brand and one of the fastest growing
agricultural seed brands. The Golden Harvest brand of hybrid
corn, soybeans, sorghum and alfalfa is produced and marketed by
five family-owned and managed seed companies serving farmers
throughout the U.S. Corn Belt, Europe, South America and
Canada. These five companies share research and marketing
resources nationally, while continuing to offer nearby service
that is at the heart of the seed industry.
