The research department of Mid-West Seed Services, Inc. (MWSS) was recently awarded funding by the AOSA/SCST Seed Testing Standardization Research Funding Committee to continue evaluating germination methods for warm season grasses.

The objective of this study is to improve test standardization of native grass species through shortening testing times and increasing method consistency between laboratories.

Progress reports will be forwarded to AOSA and final results will be presented in June 2003 to the general membership in Seattle at the annual AOSA/SCST meeting.
