With an increasing customer base, increasing market share, an
increasing infrastructure, and the continuing commitment to stay
customer focused, The J.C. Robinson Seed Co. has added two new
vice presidents positions–Vice President of Research, filled by
Dr. Hobart Beeghly, and Vice President of Marketing and Sales,
filled by Ron Wulfkuhle.
"We’ve been fortunate to grow very quickly in the last few
years," said Doug Robinson, senior vice president. "With that
growth Dr. Hobart Beeghly, as Research Director, and Ron
Wulfkuhle, as Director of Marketing and Sales, were operating at
the level of Company vice presidents. We are now officially
giving them the titles to fit all the strategic work they have
been doing."
Beeghly joined the Company in 1995 as a corn breeder. In 1999
he was appointed Research Director. He earned his doctorate at
The University of Wisconsin - Madison in Plant Breeding and
Genetics and his masters and bachelors at Iowa State University.
Prior to joining The J.C. Robinson Seed Co. Beeghly had four
years of experience in corn breeding.
Wulfkuhle joined the Company in 1999 in the Marketing and
Sales position. He has 18 years of experience with a range of
positions within the U. S. and international seed industry. He
earned his bachelor degree in agronomy at Kansas State
University.
"Hobart and Ron have been members of our six-member team we
call the Management Council since its inception in 2000,"
Robinson said. "They have been instrumental in developing a long
term strategic plan for the Company, and in ensuring that the
plan is implemented. An important focus in our strategic plan is
to remain customer focused. Both of our new Vice Presidents take
that commitment very seriously. We are looking for more good
things out of them for the future."
