Brasil Ltda, a leading provider of vegetable, flower and
herb seeds, agricultural products and services to the Brazilian
professional and garden seed market, is pleased to announce
that, James Udsen, President and CEO, has become the company’s
majority shareholder as John Hornemann, founder, completes his
retirement plans.
Topseed Sementes Ltda was founded by John Hornemann in 1958
and operated under his leadership for more than 25 years. In
1980, James Udsen joined the organization bringing with him
vegetable seed production know-how and abundant enthusiasm,
enabling Topseed to achieve phenomenal growth and recognition
throughout the 80’s and 90’s. In 1999, the company changed its
name to Agristar do Brasil Ltda in order to better represent new
distribution strategies.
Under the leadership of current President, Jim Udsen,
Agristar has developed a highly capable management team that
will continue to assure the well-earned reputation for quality
and service. The daily operations will continue with the
following team with whom you are already familiar:
