JC Robinson Seeds of Waterloo, NE, announces the purchase of the corn activities of Dutch Company “Zelder b.v.” Previously, JC Robinson Seeds owned 51% and Zelder owned 49% of Golden Harvest®-Zelder, a joint venture focused on production and sales of hybrid corn under the Golden Harvest brand in Europe. Located in Ottersum, The Netherlands, Zelder focuses on hybrid corn and grass seeds. This fact made the acquisition of the corn activities of Zelder an excellent fit for the Nebraska based corn specialist seed company.

Assets included in the purchase are hybrid corn breeding programs, equipment, and germplasm in
Ottersum, The Netherlands and Les Rosier, France; plus, a foundation seed farm near Bordeaux,
France, and a winter nursery station in Chile. A number of Zelder employees will also have the
opportunity to make the transition to JC Robinson Seeds.

Executive Vice President, Rob Robinson, commented on the acquisition. “First of all, we've enjoyed
a wonderful relationship with Zelder since 1993 when we formed the Joint Venture, Golden
Harvest-Zelder. The joint venture has experienced exceptional sales growth, which supports JC

Zelder is quite successful in their breeding efforts. The integration of JC Robinson Seeds' domestic
breeding program and Zelder's European efforts will improve hybrid corn performance in both the
US and Europe. This of course is good news for our corn growers on both continents.”
