signes exclusive contract with FloraHolland

FloraHolland and Verdict Systems recently signed an
agreement for the exclusive use of the Verdict Chain
View system in the horticultural sector. This system is
used to analyse the temperature and atmospheric humidity
of deliveries. FloraHolland has control of this
established system so that growers and buyers can
monitor transport conditions to better guarantee quality
for the end customer.
FloraHolland and Verdict Systems recently signed an
agreement for the exclusive use of the Verdict Chain
View system in the horticultural sector. This system is
used to analyse the temperature and atmospheric humidity
of deliveries. FloraHolland has control of this
established system so that growers and buyers can
monitor transport conditions to better guarantee quality
for the end customer.
The Verdict Chain View system distinguishes itself by
not only measuring the temperature / atmospheric
humidity like other data loggers do. It also links its
information in large databases to information from all
previous transportations and the partners in the
transport chain. This produces a four-dimensional
picture instead of the normal twodimensional picture of
time and temperature.
‘After analysing the data from the data loggers, you can
use the measurements to identify bottlenecks in a chain
and reduce incidents during transport’, says Marco van
der Sar, project manager at FloraHolland Import. There
is a scientifically proved link between what is known as
‘temperature hours’ and storage life results (the vase
life). Various deliveries are constantly analysed and
compared. ‘National and international growers and also
traders can improve their temperature performance
throughout the entire chain after researching and
comparing this information and receiving practical
advice from FloraHolland,’ according to Van der Sar.
Verdict | Systems BV
and Orbi Solutions BV merge
Verdict Systems BV and Orbi Solutions BV have decided to
merge all their activities per July 1st, 2009. This step
will enable us to have more focus on our main markets:
monitoring environmental conditions. The merged company
will continue under the name of Verdict Systems BV. Both
companies were already related with each other and this
merger will avoid further internal administration.

ISF World Seed Congress
From 29th till 31th of May, the annual Wold Seed
Congress will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark. Orbi
Solutions will be present to meet existing and new
customers. After a successful introduction in the first
year we are looking forward to further implement this
supply chain solution into the seedtrade. We expect to
meet a lot of international customers present in
Copenhagen.
Cold Chain Management
Workshop in Bonn, Germany
On 8th and 9th of May, Orbi Solutions will be present at
the 2nd international cold chain management congress in
Bonn, Germany. We are invited to give a presentation of
the Verdict® system during the workshop “Monitoring the
Cold Chain”. If you are interested to meet us, please

information about the Verdict® system. Also, you will be

Fruit Logistica in Berlin, Germany
Invited by some customers we presented the Verdict® package at
the International Fruit Logistica in Berlin. After four
inspiring days, we turned home with a lot of new contacts in
fruit and vegetable trade. Berlin will hear more from us next
year!
November 2005
First booth at Hortifair
(Amsterdam, Holland) was great success!
In November 2005, Orbi Solutions presented the Verdict® package
at the Hortifair in Amsterdam. With over a hundred product
demo’s given, we made a lot of many new contacts and some new
customers. As a conclusion, we look back at our first booth as a
great success. Orbi Solutions plans to be present at Hortifair
2006 again. |
