The Seed Treatment Application Centre (STAC) serves as a centre of excellence for seed treatment application technology. It offers advice, technical service and training to our customers on modern seed treatment technologies.
We provide advice on existing application technology, including tests (dressing machines and coating plant) on the client's premises and analytical examination of dressed seed samples to check the dressing concentration and coating quality.
Equipped with a wide range of commercially available seed treatment machines and with additional facilities (computerized pump testing station, bagging equipment, dust measurements, etc …), the Center allows Bayer CropScience to address and solve any kind of technical problem related to seed treatment application, such as customized recipes including film coatings, seed treatment machinery and peripheral equipment (pumps, seed dosing, transport, bagging, …).

The Bayer CropScience Seed Technology Center is a center of excellence for the development of seed treatment fungicides, insecticides, and coatings. Having expertise in biological screening, formulation development, and application technology at a single location, allows us to effectively and efficiently develop new products, as well as evaluate seed treatment systems that contain multiple active ingredients and coating technologies.
The Seed Technology Center has expertise in the areas of germination testing, efficacy screening of seed and soil borne diseases, analytical testing to evaluate seed treatment application rates and uniformity, the evaluation of the effect of treatments on rate and uniformity of planting, and the capability to evaluate new treatments and treatment systems through state of the art application equipment.
This broad range of expertise and capabilities, allows Bayer CropScience to better serve our customers by developing seed treatment products that have been thoroughly evaluated, as well as provide our customers technical support to address any questions on application or biological performance related topics.
