Gourmet F1 will amaze you with its taste, texture, sweetness and aroma. In order to make your home garden melon a success, our breeders gave Gourmet earliness, resistance to PMR and some tolerance to Fusarium. These factors, along with high yield, make it the perfect roadside fruit stand item. Intermediate shelf life. It holds better than muskmelons, but is not as hard as a cantaloupe. Gourmet should be picked immediately upon ripening. It ripens very quickly and early in the season, long before other melons.  

Days to maturity: 75 to 80 days

Size:  6" X 7" ~ 3 to 4 pounds.

Rind:  Sparse, distinctive netting over green and orange skin.

Interior: Creamy white flesh.

Flesh characteristics: Sweet and delicious.  Results depend on growing conditions, but here in Colorado we usually have 15 to 17% sugar.
