This
variety has a high resistance to
heat.
It can form heads over 1.5 kg in
tropical lowlands within 40 days after
transplanting.
The head is very firm and
the leaves with no hair are thick and very juicy.
Tropic Early is tolerant to Bacterial soft
rot and Mosaic virus. It is suitable for
fresh consumption, frying and processing.
In order to avoid bolting before
forming
heads, the variety should not be
cultivated under continuous low
temperatures below 16 celcius. |
