Vilmorin, the world leader for carrot was the sponsor seed company of the event. On this occasion, Vilmorin took pride in welcoming more than 250 participating clients from 5 continents, for an exceptional visit of its headquarters in France.
The First “Carrot and Other Apiaceae International Symposium” took place in Angers (France), from 17 to 19 September, 2014. More than 540 participants from 34 countries attended the event.
Vilmorin was the lead sponsor of the event, thereby confirming its position as world leader for carrot seeds.
In this context, Vilmorin has welcomed over 250 participating clients from across 5 continents (Argentina, United States, Spain, Italy, Austria, England, Sweden, Poland, Russia, Lithuania, South Africa, Egypt, Turkey, Jordan, New Zealand, Australia...).
On this occasion, Vilmorin hosted an “open house” at their head offices which included a presentation on the company’s expertise and the know-how of their teams showcased through a tour of their various facilities (research centre, factory, laboratories, quality control centre, etc) and the presentation of the complete carrot range and innovations (40 varieties).

Le premier Symposium International « Carotte et autres Apiacées » a eu lieu à Angers (France), du 17 au 19 septembre 2014. Plus de 540 participants de plus de trente-quatre pays y ont assisté.

A cette occasion, Vilmorin a ouvert les portes de son siège social pour une présentation exceptionnelle de son expertise et du savoir-faire de ses équipes à travers une visite de ses différentes installations (centre de recherche, usine, laboratoires, contrôle qualité…) et la présentation de l’ensemble de sa collection variétale (40 variétés commerciales et les dernières innovations).
