Tom Strachota
Chief Executive Officer
Dairyland Seed
Tom Strachota serves as Chief
Executive Officer for Dairyland Seed, a
family owned seed company started by
Tom's grandfather in 1907. Tom joined
his father in 1976, serving as director
of research until 1981 and Executive
Vice-President from 1985 to 1994, at
which time he became CEO, helping to
lead the company's research and
marketing efforts.
Tom has served as Regional
Vice-President for the American Seed
Trade Association and as a member of the
Board of Directors. He is past President
of the Western Seed Association. He has
also served on the National Alfalfa
Variety Review Board and currently
serves on the Board of Directors of the
American Seed Research Foundation.
