McCallum
has been the General Manager of DL Seeds
since it was formed in March 2008.
Previous to starting with DL Seeds,
McCallum was the Spring Wheat Breeder
for AgriPro/Syngenta from 2006 to 2008,
and was a cereal and linola agronomist
from 1990 to 2005 with UGG/Agricore
United. McCallum helped register the
first private hard red spring wheat
variety and first linola variety for
Western Canadian farmers; helped
register five hard spring wheat
varieties, two prairie spring varieties,
four linola varieties, one barley
variety and one oat variety for western
Canadian farmers; and registered the
first IP hard spring wheat in Western
Canada, and first MR fusarium resistant
hard spring variety. |
