My vision of the
future? One makes of the future what one puts in to create
one's
own future. There "ain’t no free lunches" and "getting up
early in the morning" will go a long way to make
one’s own future happen. You have to believe in what you are
doing and at the same time enjoy it. In Hygrotech’s unique
strategy to establish regional companies and a supply company
with personnel shareholding in all these subsidiaries, we are
creating a strong basis of responsibility and accountability
in an overall strategy to relentlessly pursue personnel
excellence. With this working and a company with unique
products, an opportunistic product development policy
supported by a strong infrastructure and practical logistics,
I believe our future in Hygrotech is bright and promising. The
markets in South Africa and the other SADC countries are
certainly there to develop in order to achieve
success for the Hygrotech subsidiaries and its customers. If
the economic situation and outlook in Southern African
remain positive, with strong support from investing countries
In Europe, the Far East and the USA, I expect to see real growth
in Africa during the next decade.
The political issues, specifically in Zimbabwe, have to be
addressed by all the Southern African leaders in order to
re-establish stability and confidence in the region so that
real growth can be sustained with the support of our partners,
investors and supporters. Individuals and companies who have
decided to leave the sub-continent have made their choices.
The remaining core of us Africans will stay and make a
sustainable living here and create our own future with the
necessary confidence and support from the world out there. If
something goes really wrong, my family and I will be "the last
ones to feed the dolphins and turn the lights off".
