But the individual in the seed industry I have found particularly inspirational is Victor Desprez, my "godfather" in the complex world of the international seed trade. Mr. Desprez, a well-known character in our circles, had a remarkable charisma, a sense of friendship and conviviality, the sense of loyalty to people and to ideas. This, coupled with an uncommon capacity for work and a perfect knowledge of issues, had made him one of the most prominent leaders of the seed industry during several decades and led him to the prestigious position of Honorary President of FIS.
