The current
prominent position of the SunPrime material, particularly for
prime hard cultivar production, bears strong testament to the
sound breeding and commercialisation strategies adopted by the
company.We will continue to
focus on Prime Hard (PH), Australian Hard (AH) and Australian
Premium White (APW) wheats, but will also have a targeted
presence in soft wheats, durum and high yielding feed wheats.
All our breeding programs are using
fast-track tools such as single seed descent, double haploids
and molecular markers as well as grain quality analysis of
early generation material.
Access to proprietary technologies,
including gene technology, will be an important component of
the program in the future.
