| This
very heat-tolerant, angelwing-type begonia is truly spectacular!
Gardener-friendly ‘Dragon Wing Red’ is an excellent specimen plant
that completely fills oversized hanging baskets and large containers.
‘Dragon Wing Red’ performs equally well in garden beds,
presenting a dramatically different look than standard begonia bedding
plants. Summer 1998 field trials of ‘Dragon Wing Red’ in West Chicago
and Elburn, Illinois exhibited excellent garden performance, with
spectacular displays all season. More vigorous with a significantly
better branching habit than other angelwing begonias, ‘Dragon Wing
Red’ shows off large, scarlet blooms that are somewhat pendulous. The
large, wing-shaped leaves are solid glossy green. |
