Plant Variety Protection (PVP) is an alternative to plant
patent.
The Congressional Plant Variety Protection (PVP) Act of 1970
grants legal intellectual property rights protection to novel
plant varieties that is uniform, stable, and distinct (DUS) from
all other varieties.
It is the responsibility of the inventor to apply for protection
and inform the buyers if a variety is protected.
This training seminar addresses all aspects of PVPO rules and
regulations, including suitable application materials and
support documentation for filing and most importantly avoiding
common mistakes or omissions in order to elude governmental red
tape. Approaches for protecting, defending and implementing
plant variety intellectual property rights will also be covered.
