Syngenta Seeds, NK Brand is delighted to announce the
implementation of a new business model, reflecting a regional
team-based approach.
The new model is designed to deliver sales and agronomy
together, while optimizing resources, focusing on providing more
personalized services, and enhancing relationships with dealers
and key customers.
The new model involves a team approach where field staff will
manage smaller territories, have more personal contact with
customers, and fulfill both agronomic and transaction needs for
their customers.
Syngenta Seeds President Dave Sippell explains: “Ten years ago
we introduced a ground-breaking business model by providing
agronomic support to customers. Today, agronomic support is
expected with every bag of seed sold. We recognize agronomy
matters just as much as sales and customer service. Our strength
in agronomy and sales are both core to our success, in
conjunction with our emphasis on relationship building.”
Adds Sippell, “The new business model is reflective of the fact
that Syngenta Seeds is evolving to meet industry demands and
continue our history of market leadership.”
Under the new structure, four regional teams will cover Eastern
Canada. Each team includes two or three Sales & Agronomy
Managers, one Sales & Agronomy Lead, one Customer Care
Representative and one Technical Product Specialist. In
addition, each regional team will be supported by Business
Partnerships Services and Business Development.
“Our field force is a group of highly dedicated, talented and
experienced people, most of whom are already CCAs or the
recognized equivalent,” notes Sippell. “They all value the
relationships they have cultivated with our dealers and
customers, and we are confident they will provide exceptional
personalized service from both an agronomic and sales service
perspective as our company continues to grow.”
Syngenta is a world-leading agribusiness committed to
sustainable agriculture through innovative research and
technology. The company is a leader in crop protection, and
ranks third in the high-value commercial seeds market. Sales in
2007 were approximately $9.2 billion. Syngenta employs over
21,000 people in more than 90 countries. Syngenta is listed on
the Swiss stock exchange (SYNN) and in New York (SYT). Further
