The multinational company Syngenta has issued the 14th edition of Syngenta Peppers Today  through S&G and Rogers brands. Syngenta Peppers Today is a communication tool specifically centred on the world of peppers, and it has been developed for all Syngenta clients in the business chain, with information on production, processing and trading.

This edition of Syngenta Peppers Today provides a pepper approach in Russia and Morocco, and “provides more information about Integrated Pest Management in Spain” explains Mr. Jacek Bursztynski, S&G Product Business Manager for Peppers for the EAME region, and the writer of our Editorial.

The 14th edition of Syngenta Peppers Today focuses on:

  • Russia on the horizon: The Russian market has shown remarkable development in recent years and it offers many opportunities for EU pepper growers. In order to provide an insight into the export sector in Murcia and Almería to Russia, Pepperstoday.com has also compiled Almerian and Murcian figures from 2005 to 2008.

  • Peppers in Morocco: During the 2007-2008 campaign, Morocco’s pepper exports increased by 40% to a total of 49,300 tonnes. Read the interview with ADRAR Agricultural Cooperative and the evaluation of the last campaign.

  • Interview with David Hughes: Prof. David Hughes offers an insight into how the global economic recession is affecting the fresh produce industry and consumer behaviour.

  • IPM in Almería: Pepperstoday.com interviews Ms. Lola Gómez Ferrón, the Manager of Clisol Agro, in order to know how her company has developed to the point that it is now an important model for other companies around the world.

  • Further topics: our regular meeting point section and a singular pepper recipe!
