Indian seed company Krishidhan and Dutch biotech company Proteios International sign agreement for the development and application of molecular markers and DNA detection technologies on cotton

The Indian seed company Krishidhan Seeds Ltd. and the Dutch based bio-tech company Proteios International BV have signed a long-term agreement for the development and application of molecular markers and DNA detection technologies on cotton.

The Krishidhan group is soon to open its own state-of-the-art biotechnology laboratory and will be using Proteios technology to support their breeding programs and to execute genetic quality tests on their seeds.

Krishidhan and Proteios are very pleased with this agreement which enables Krishidhan to expand the knowledge and implementation of existing and future Proteios technologies in the Krishidhan laboratories.
Krishidhan is an upcoming agri seed conglomerate with interests in field crops and vegetables crops.

Krishidhan has research activities in nine locations in India, is producing seeds on more then 50.000 hectares and has recently opened a corporate office in Pune, India. Krishidhan is a fast growing company with a yearly turnover of US$ 50 million.

Proteios is a leading bio-tech company active in the development and marketing of marker technologies for the seed industry. Proteios, with its state-of-the-art laboratories in Zwaagdijk, The Netherlands, and part of the INCOTEC Group, has facilities in India, Japan, Brazil and Europe.
