Syngenta issues the 12th edition of Syngenta Peppers Today, the newsletter for the world of peppers

The multinational company Syngenta has issued the 12th edition of Syngenta Peppers Today through S&G and Rogers brands. Syngenta Peppers Today is a communication tool specifically centred on the world of peppers, and it has been developed for all Syngenta clients in the business chain, with information on production, processing and trading.

Since it was first published in May 2006, “S&G Peppers Today” has maintained a clear focus on the EAME region. From now on, the bi-monthly publication changes its name from “S&G Peppers Today” to “Syngenta Peppers Today” with the aim of offering insights into the pepper market worldwide.

Mr. Jacek Bursztynski, S&G Product Business Manager for Peppers for EAME, explains that “the newsletter will now enter a new era: with this shift in geographical focus, we would like to provide a more comprehensive overview of global trends and market dynamics.”

The 12th edition of Syngenta Peppers Today focuses on:

  • Peppers in Argentina: What are the demands of consumers in Argentina with respect to peppers? Mr. Daniel Ciocca, Agricultural Engineer for Salvador Muñoz e Hijos S.R.L, provides Pepperstoday.com with an insight into the market of peppers for fresh consumption in Argentina

  • “The Tobamovirus: One problem, one solution!”: Mrs. Sierra Bacarizo, Assistant Breeder at S&G, talks to us about the incidence of the Tobamovirus in the region of Murcia, Spain.

  • 2 new hot pepper varieties in Korea: Syngenta Peppers Today interviews Mr. Insik Hong, who is responsible for product development and marketing programmes for hot peppers at Syngenta Seeds Vegetables in Korea.

  • Korean hot peppers: Hot pepper consumption and hot pepper imports and exports in Korea (1999-2008).

  • F&V consumption in France: Interview with Mr. Xavier Herry, Operational Marketing Director of  INTERFEL / APRIFEL INTERFEL, the French professional federation of fresh fruits and vegetables networks, about the “fraîch’attitude” week initiative.
