Customer service and cutting edge genetics will be the focus

Trisler Seed Farms, Inc. (“Trisler”) announced today that it will transfer its sales and marketing business, including its sales team, to American Seeds, Inc. (ASI), a holding company formed by Monsanto to support regional seed businesses with capital, genetics and technology investments.  The Trisler sales and marketing business will be operated by a newly-formed subsidiary of ASI called Trisler Seeds, Inc.

Aligning with ASI will allow Trisler to offer leading edge genetics and traits to its customers through the people and brand they have come to trust.  “Our customers like dealing with local people managing the business,” comments Scott Davis, Strategic Development Manager.  “Our new relationship with ASI offers our customers the richest trait pipeline and most advanced germplasm anywhere through the Trisler® Brand.”

Dealers and customers will see a continuation of the Trisler culture which is farmer focused and provides an ease of doing business.  Through their ASI relationship, Trisler® hybrid customers will see an enhancement of the products offered including second generation corn and soybean traits as they are brought to market. 

“Our recent expansion coupled with incredible performance has lead to a very solid growth trend,” states Trisler’s President Julie T. Catlett.  “Our sales staff has done an excellent job capitalizing on a solid growth opportunity.”  Most of the recent growth can be attributed to an expanding reach of the Trisler’s sales staff.  Trisler will have over 20 district sales managers and independent representatives.

Trisler will join the ASI Western Group which is made up of companies similar in structure.  Trisler, with a 70-year heritage of serving American farmers, has shown remarkable growth over the past five years with Trisler® Hybrids and Trisoy® brand soybeans.  It serves retail customers from Colorado to Delaware through a retail network of over 500 dealers.
