Improved primed lettuce products from INCOTEC
Salinas, California
February 9, 2004

INCOTEC, Integrated Coating and Technology, Inc. (Salinas, California) is the location where a new generation of primed products for lettuce is quietly establishing a new standard of excellence.

During the past three years, research activities have peaked as INCOTEC scientists in the Netherlands, Bob Legro, Roelf Weges and Victor Sanchez-Sava provided many incremental improvements to the priming and pelleting processes of INCOTEC’s lettuce products.

The INCOTEC USA team followed through with extensive testing in field locations as diverse as the cool valleys around Salinas, California to the hot, dry fields located in the desert areas in and around Yuma, Arizona.  During this period INCOTEC’s primed lettuce products began to evolve into new products as these incremental changes were tested and then incorporated into those new primed products.  These “evolved” primed products now make excellent partners with high quality lettuce seed as the quality of the seed is maximized by the improvements of quality in the primed product.

These “evolved” primed products are combined with all of INCOTEC’s available lettuce coating products, i.e. OnX, Micromax, INCOTEC 108, INCOTEC 136, and Splitkote.

Jerry Vosti, INCOTEC’s Sales Consultant in Salinas, California states, “the effect of all the many small changes that produced this new generation of primings is seen in the improved performance of the seed and in the lettuce fields in both Yuma, Arizona and the Salinas, California valleys”.

INCOTEC is a worldwide leader in coating and seed technology serving the vegetable, ornamental and agronomic seed business.  For more information about INCOTEC, go to www.incotec.com.
