.

August 11, 2003

Germain's Technology Group's Californian production facility in Gilroy has received official certification from the California Crop Improvement Association (CCIA) as an Organic Production facility.  Additionally, the company's 'Filcoat' seed pellet received organic certification status, with more coating types being currently evaluated for future introduction under the organic certification label.

The California facility is the third Germain's Technology Group location to achieve Organic status for pelleting and coatings, following the UK and Dutch sites’ national certifications under the Soil Association and SKAL, received in 2001 and 2002 respectively.

Germain's Technology Group is committed to providing the widest range of seed enhancement products and services, which are tailored to address all aspects of agriculture and horticulture crop management systems.

Véronique Heyes, Marketing Director says ‘This newly received certification for organic production is proof of our dedicated approach to provide a seamless range and quality of services from all our locations’.

Bobby Garcia, Operations Manager at the Gilroy facility comments: ‘I am both pleased and excited about our achievement of the standard, which will help us provide our proven and trusted seed technology products to our customers for the organic sector.’

Germain's Technology Group, a member of Associated British Foods plc, provides seed enhancement and coating services from 9 world locations.
