Germain’s Technology
Group (GTG), the world’s largest independent supplier of
seed coating and enhancement technology products and systems,
has announced the formation of a new team responsible for
Commercial Development.
This team will be led by Peter Hammond, who moves from his
current position of Finance Director to become Commercial
Director. Peter Hammond, who is UK-based at GTG Corporate Office
in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, has been with the Group for four years
and prior to that was with British Sugar for ten years,
including four in Business Development in Asia. He will be
supported by Frederick Schreurs, based in Spain, who moves from
General Manager for GTG Spain, to become Commercial Development
Manager, and Jan Willem Hoopman, the Group’s current Business
Development Consultant, who is based in Holland. This team will
lead the implementation of the Group’s strategy for existing GTG
operational businesses in the development of its global
business, and provide strategic support.
Peter Hammond says: "I can see huge opportunities for GTG
worldwide and the creation of this team will enable our business
to focus on developing these opportunities. We have excellent
products and a pipeline of innovative new products coming out of
our expanding Group R&D."
"Joining me in the team are two of the most experienced and
respected people in the seed enhancement world."
"Frederick Schreurs has vast experience in South America,
Africa and the Mediterranean, and was extremely successful and
creative during his management of GTG Spain."
"Jan Willem Hoopman, the founder of International Seed
Technology, and now part of GTG, is held in high regard across
the industry. He has great knowledge of markets in Asia,
Australasia, North and South America, as well as Europe, and is
therefore a major asset to this team.
