POSITION:
Global Seed
Care Manager, Application and Coating High Value Seeds

Responsibilities:
-
This new role will be an
integral part of the Global Seed Care Institute focusing on
application and coating projects in high-value crops (e.g.
vegetables and ornamentals)
-
The individual needs to be
able to manage multi-disciplinary product support and
development projects aimed at supporting seed enhancement in
high-value crops.
-
The role will also be
responsible in establishing and maintaining close and mutual
trusted relationships with 3rd party service providers in
the field of vegetable and ornamental coating/seed
enhancment.
Requirements:
-
Excellence: To establish
in-house expertise and capabilities for application and
performance coatings applied to high-value crops (e.g.
vegetables and ornamentals).

Development: Lead research,
implementation and optimization of product recipes and
application methodologies for existing and new technologies
on high value crops.

Technical Support: Participate
in product/project development teams for high-value crops
and provide support on demand.

Innovation: Strive
pro-actively for innovation through global networking with
internal and external partners to address customer needs.

Project Management: Establish
clear and well designed project development plans with
ambitious delivery and implentatation deadlines. Establish
and live the role in a complex environment. Coordinate
different functions to deliver projects on-time. Understand
the customer needs and address them in a comitting working
style.

Technical Skills: familiar
with seed enhancement technologies like coating, priming,
pelleting etc.
Additional Requirements:

Understand the Global Seed
Industry especially for vegetables and other high value
seeds.

Excellent communications
skills

Qualification
-
Master degree in Chemistry,
Biology or Seed Science required
-
Professional experience in the
high value seed processing and coating industry of advantage
