We are seeking a qualified Greenhouse Supervisor to
support our research and development operations at our Woodland,
California facilities.
In this role the candidate will have the following
responsibilities:

Personnel Management of
Greenhouse staff
-
Quality Assurance consistency,
reliability and credibility of results
-
Productivity - Assure quantity
of output
-
Work with vendors regarding
greenhouse supplies
-
Innovation and continuous
improvement of current processes and new technologies
-
Lead safety and sees that all
environmental, safety and health requirements are met
-
Maintain inventory control of
greenhouse supplies
-
Coordinate, plan and monitor
the daily functioning of all greenhouse equipment and
facilities
-
Communicate regularly and
effectively with peers, subordinates and managers
The successful candidate will
possess:
-
BS degree in related field
-
Excellent interpersonal
skills, effective oral and written communication skills
-
Demonstrated supervisory
abilities are critical
-
Experience in
greenhouse/nursery management is preferred and an emphasis
on technical improvement and greenhouse automation or
equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Knowledge of seed testing
equipment and facilities preferred
-
Experience with
greenhouse/nursery automation preferred with proven track
record of greenhouse/nursery improvement highly desired
