Job Description

Provide a key contact between BASF Seed Treatment Products and the District Manager (DM) and Business Rep's (BR's) to help assist their customer base

1. Position requires a minimum of 50% travel time averaged through out the year with time higher and lower than 50%. Territory is North and South Dakota and Minnesota. The main focus will be the Cereal grains and soybeans.

2. Represent the entire seed treatment product line and support the BASF product portfolio.

3. Train and educate DM's and BR's the entire seed treatment product line and assist them in obtaining orders for and handling complaints with these products.

4. Assist the DM's and BR's to educate, secure, grow and maintain their customer base in their assigned areas, to help them support sales volumes.

5. Educate Technical Service representatives on BASF seed treatment products and assist in the field evaluation of these products.

6. Maintain relations with key people at the distribution, research and account levels that have influence on customers.

7. Establish relatinships with distribribution, train and educate sales and technical representitives.

8. Help develop new accounts to support required growth of the seed treatment business in the assigned area

Qualifications

A Bachelors degree and 6 years of experience in the seed treatment or 8 years experience in the seed or crop protections business is required. Experience with commercial and on farm seed treatment products is preferred.
