We seek a motivated individual for our FOUNDATION SPECIALIST
role at our Woodland, California location.
Essential duties and responsibilities
-
Inspect field increases and
observe plant growth to determine work requirements.

Responsible for all aspects of
cultural practice such as land prep, cultivation, weed,
disease and insect control, irrigation, and harvest
scheduling.

Responsible for daily labor
activities including but not limited to cage construction,
crop rotation and transplant scheduled.

Ensure that FS milling and
harvest equipment as well as pool vehicles receive regular
service and repair.

Manage all FS contract labor
as well as four Foundation Seed Supervisors
The successful candidate will be
knowledgeable of best farming practices for all vegetable
species in the Seminis product portfolio. Must be capable of
managing contract labor pool as well as supervisory experience
for full time employees. Critical organization and time
management skills are required. Bachelor’s degree in related
agricultural field and 4+ years of practical field experience in
managing agronomic practices is desired.
