Manager, Seed Enhancement Division

BECKER UNDERWOOD is a global leader in seed enhancements,
landscape, horticulture and agriculture. Our products are
marketed all over the world in 82 countries. Since our founding
in1982, we have experienced tremendous growth through product
development and acquisitions. We currently seek a Territory
Manager for the Western U.S. territory.
Territory Manager, Seed Enhancement Division
This position will cover the states of WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, CO,
UT, NV, CA and AZ. The Territory Manager will be responsible for
prospecting long-term, profitable relationships and managing
sales objectives at the territory level. The Territory Manager
will also be responsible for achieving the revenue and net
profit objectives as agreed upon with his/her supervisor.
Principal Accountabilities
Field Marketing/Sales Operations
-
Understand and implement the Becker-Underwood Selling
System, focusing on identifying and satisfying customer
needs.

Assist in
maintaining and growing the customer base.

Assist in
developing new and profitable accounts.
-
Attend
trade shows to influence customers to do business with us.
-
Handle
and resolve customer needs in a timely manner to ensure
highest possible customer satisfaction.

Help to
supervise customer management data-base files to ensure
effective and efficient handling of all information.

Assist
other sales regions/territories when needed or asked by
supervisor.
These duties account for 75% of the overall job
responsibilities
Market intelligence

Understand and implement marketing plan initiatives…driving
key products and services with key target markets.

Assist
marketing with new product development to ensure emerging
customer needs are met.
These duties account for 15% of the overall job
responsibilities
Other
Ideal candidate will possess a
Bachelor’s degree (or working towards a BA) in Agronomy,
Agriculture Business, Animal Science, Economics, Marketing or
related field; CCA preferred. Positive work history in an
outside sales representative capacity is required; previous work
experience in the Crop Protection Industry or Seed Industry is
preferred. The candidate must be proficient in computers and
must possess excellent presentation and communication skills
(proficiency in Spanish is a plus), excellent personal
motivation and great attention to detail under tight time
constraints. This position is required to travel approximately
50% of the time.
